I live in the best city on earth, Philadelphia, where I write mostly about the labor movement in general, and more specifically, the relationship between the labor movement and environmental movement, worker organizing in the right-to-work South, and women at work. I also write the occasional personal essay and I’m interested in writing more of those.

I’m a frequent contributor to In These Times, and my bylines can be found in Jacobin, Current Affairs, The Nation, Scalawag, and elsewhere. When I’m not writing, I’m working a day job in the labor movement, on the picket line, or spending time in nature with my husband, baby, and dog.

If you’re interested in working together, please contact me here or via email at mindy[DOT]isser[AT]gmail[DOT]com. I’m always open to writing more reported pieces about labor and more personal essays about motherhood, womanhood, work, and relationships. I also have a Substack that I send about once per month that includes a personal essay, low-key advice column, and link round-up.
