I live in the best city on earth, Philadelphia, where I write mostly about the labor movement, with specific focuses on the environmental movement, organizing in the right-to-work South, and women at work. I also write personal essays about politics and motherhood.
My bylines can be found in In These Times, Slate, Jacobin, Current Affairs, The Nation, Scalawag, and elsewhere. When I’m not writing, I’m working a day job in the labor movement, supporting workers on the picket line, or spending time in nature with my husband, toddler, and dog.
If you’re interested in working together, please contact me here or via email at mindy[DOT]isser[AT]gmail[DOT]com. I’m always open to assignments about labor, motherhood, and culture. I also have a Substack that I send about once per month that includes a personal essay, low-key advice column, and link round-up.
